This monday in #Whitehaven from 1pm till 3pm raising awareness of the ongoing pollution going into the harbour and the sea from old mines. Bring your creativity – I will be doing a painting and there will be art materials for others who would like to get creative. Photos of artworks to be sent to the authorities who have let this pollution happen and done nothing to stop it continuing. It is now acknowledged that acid mine pollution multiplies the impacts of radioactivity which is particularly alarming in West Cumbria with known burden of radioactivity in the Irish Sea from #sellafield. March 11th is also the anniversary of #Fukushima so we will be remembering the ongoing disaster in Japan with its outpouring of radioactivity into the Pacific and questioning man’s ongoing hubris.
