TO REMEMBER THE FIRST NUCLEAR DISASTER IN THE UK – WINDSCALE
JOIN US AT THE GATES OF HELL – SPRINGFIELDS NUKILLER FUELS – FUELLING THE NEXT NUCLEAR DISASTER (AND “ROUTINE” CONTAMINATION)
Meet outside Springfields Nuclear Fuels – 2pm 10th October to REMEMBER WINDSCALE. The nearest Train station is Salwick – not far from Preston.
Activists from the Close Capenhurst Campaign & Radiation Free Lakeland will be at the Springfields Nukiller plant at 14.00. on October 10th.
For those who do not know where Springfields Nuclear Fuels is – it is near Preston New Road in the area infamous for Fracking -while the Nukiller Fuel site sits quietly in the shadows fuelling a new tsunami of ever more dangerous nuclear wastes. More nuclear wastes arrive at Sellafield by the week . All courtesy of Springfields Nukiller Fuels, fuelling nuclear accidents, nuclear weapons and nuclear waste. Electricity is a fleeting byproduct.
The date is to mark 62 years since the Windscale Fire Please come join us if you can – all are invited who no longer want to be poisoned by the Nukiller industry’s ongoing and accelerating radioactive and chemical wastes.
Many people will have heard of Windscale and the nuclear reactor fire on the edge of the Lake District that became notorious as the worst nuclear accident to date to take place in the UK.
Not many people know that Springfields is the key link in the nuclear fuel chain – making nuclear fuel since the 1940s. Even if Springfields stopped making fuel tomorrow – like Sellafield there would be jobs at the site for many decades to come to ‘clean up’.
Knowledge is power – and the nuclear industry like nothing better than to feed us crapola about the nuclear industry being ‘green/sustainable/safe’ and keep us in the dark about the terrible truth of the most dangerous industry on the planet... so here is a briefing about Springfields. ….https://issuu.com/wildart/docs/18.4.19_spotlight_on_springfields_2
