*****BIG THANK YOU**** to all Folk who came from Scotland, Cumbria, Yorkshire Somerset and from the local area of the Fylde and elsewhere to Surround Springfields.
The event saw the biggest number of people EVER to bear witness at Springfields Nuclear Fuel Manufacturing Plant and the evil that is the military and civil nuclear industrial complex.
Over 50 people donned nuclear waste barrel costumes and stood peacefully outside the Springfields Nuclear Fuel Manufacturing plant in the wind and rain to bear witness. We remembered the 33rd anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster and the insanity of nuclear power and weapons taking us closer than ever to the edge of meaningful life on this planet. We have had enough Nukiller!
A fuller write up later in the week but for now here are some photos of an action that I feel so honoured to have been a part of. For videos of the action see Stop New Nuclear
Live video conference with indigenous people in communities adversely impacted by uranium mining. This must-watch will be posted up later for those who couldn’t see it live.
