Sellafield Manager “I am not sure what you mean by radioactivity levels higher than they should be” #ThanksThorp

In 1994 West Cumbrian students ask “What exactly do you do if you find the radioactivity levels are higher than they should be” Sellafield Manager, Rex Strong replies “I am not sure what you mean by higher than they should be”

Even before Thorp opened the reprocessing already taking place at Sellafield had produced a toxic brew.    #ThanksThorp for more decades of radioactive waste spewed out to the Irish Sea, to the air, to our very DNA.

and in 2018 Thorp is to close and we told to “celebrate Thorp’s immense contribution to the global nuclear industry. ”

#ThanksThorp for more Radiation Linked Diseases, more Radioactive Crapola spewed into the Irish Sea, more dangerous ponds of high level nuclear waste. Join Radiation Free Lakeland in a peaceful demo this Friday outside the Beacon Museum, Whitehaven from 4 – 6pm outside the “Celebration” of Reprocessing #ThanksThorp #RadiationLinkedDiseases #RadioactiveIrishSea
