Report from the Frontline to Free the Deer

“Yesterdays protest went really well. Between us we all chanted, blew whistles and banged a drum while stood holding our placards for all to see!”

“We got lots of positive responses from the workforce. The start to the day was somewhat intimidating. It seemed as though Sellafield was on alert. We had at least 8 armed guards circling the car park opposite to where we stood”.

“They soon dispersed when our numbers grew and we got into position. Possibly a scare tactic? Who knows?   We were all in good spirits and the fight goes on. We had a bit of a rocky journey through as we were told at the railway station that the trains on the line were cancelled and they had a bus for the rest of the journey.  When we got near to Sellafield they were clearly taking in a shipment of who knows what as a train slowly rattled its way along the tracks with big casks on the back making my blood run cold”.

“The support from the workers going in and out was excellent, one woman even stopped to tell us the majority of them are right behind us and for us to keep it up”
